CoolSliming is a non-invasive procedure. It uses controlled cooling to permanently remove fat cells without affecting any surrounding cells, tissues or organs.

A special suction head with heating and cooling plates is placed on the selected body area. The area is first warmed for 3-4 minutes followed by cooling for 45-60 minutes, depending on the amount of fat in the treated area. When cooled, the fat cells crystallise and break down in a physiological process called apoptosis. The surrounding blood vessels, nerves, etc. are much less sensitive to cold exposure and remain unaffected.

The crystalized fat cells are naturally processed and excreted from the body. The treated area becomes smaller in size over the following weeks as this happens.

The treatment can last up to 60 minutes, depending on the thickness of the area and how quickly you respond to the cooling technology. Your treatment will be tailored to your individual requirements, which will be discussed with you during your consultation.

One treatment is sufficient for most areas since Cyrotherapy has the advantage of not requiring a course of treatments. Depending on the thickness of the fat and your personal goals, CoolSlimming treatments may be repeated in the same area a second time or even a third time. If you choose to have additional treatments, the waiting time for the same area is approximately 60 days. This allows enough time to measure the effectiveness of the initial treatment.

The results depend on the individual, the fat thickness and the area treated. Once the applicators have been applied to the targeted area, you will feel suction from the vacuum. The suction holds the area in place during the session. Next you will feel the treatment area being heated for approximately 3-4 minutes followed by an intense cooling feeling that lasts between 45-60 minutes. The cold feeling will fade as the area becomes numb. We often have patients fall asleep during their session. There is no anesthetic or pain relief required during the treatment.

Cyrotherapy has very few side effects. Often there is some short term, mild redness and numbness on the treated area after the session. In rare cases, there may be a slight bruising due to the vacuum that will last a few days. You can resume normal daily activities immediately after the session.

The ideal candidates for CoolSlimming are those who want to reduce localized fat deposits in areas such as the thighs, hips, flanks, abdomen, upper arms, etc. These areas can be particularly stubborn, even with diet and exercise. We suggest that the ideal candidate is at or near their ideal body weight, as these individuals will see the best results. Although the majority of people are treatable, it is not an overall weight loss solution.

No diet plan is required for the treatment to work. However, combining cryolipolysis with a healthy diet will further maximize your results.
